Join our dedicated team of volunteers at Hershey Food Bank & Community Outreach and be a driving force in the fight against hunger. The Hershey Food Pantry has been very helpful in my life. They have helped me in more ways than just food. They've even payed my utility Bill to avoid being shut off. The staff is friendly and sympathetic and caring. There is even a bulletin board in the lobby that have job postings on it.”

  • Food Distribution

    Assist clients with shopping and/or helping load groceries into their cars

  • Receiving

    Unload, sort and/or shelve food donations.

  • Transport

    Pick up items from local suppliers and deliver them to the food bank.

  • Food drives

    Organize and hold a food drive

  • Cleaning & Maintenance

    Assist in cleaning and/or maintaining the building.

  • fundraising

    Assist with the Feed the Need Committee.

  • Vegetable garden

    Assist in planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting the on-site vegetable garden or plant your garden and share your harvest.

  • Management

    Assist in leadership, purchasing, inventory, outreach, development, public relations, social media, and accounting

  • We have a very limited number of opportinities for those aged 14 - 18. Please see “How Can Children Help?” for suggestions for younger children.

  • * Check our List of Needed Items

    *Invite your neighbors, family, club members, and/or co-workers to participate.

    *Coordinate a drop off time to bring your donations to the Food Bank.

  • There are many ways families and children can help support the Food Bank. Some ideas include: *Hold a Food Drive * Plant a Garden * Collect food instead of gifts on your birthday *Hold a Dinners for Dollars at a local restaurant and name Hershey Food Bank as the beneficiary.

  • * Organize a fundraiser. We can help by providing literature, volunteer speakers, etc.

    * Donate gift cards from local supermarkets. Mail them to P.O Box 205, Hershey, PA 17033.

    * Organize a "casual dress day" at your company or organization to benefit the Hershey Food Bank.

    *Plant a garden and donate your surplus.

    *Attend our Feed the Need fundraiser each November
